Our Story

It all began with a break down and a dream…

Seven years ago, my life felt like it was falling apart. I had broken up from a marriage, left my job running a youth centre and dropped out of my Master’s degree in Primary Teaching. Nothing seemed to be working out, and I couldn’t understand why…

One night, I woke up in the middle of the night with a vision. I grabbed a notepad and wrote, “The Blank Canvas.” The idea was to run an art studio where kids could express themselves freely. They would be like a blank canvas, inspired to create and express themselves without any labels, judgment, or assessment, everything I felt was missing from the standard education system.

I held onto that dream for years, but it wasn’t until I had my daughter Olympia that I recognised the real need for a space for pure self expression. A designated space for messiness where finally parents do not need to say No, but instead can simply allow their kids to express themselves and just be kids.

In June 2024 Messy Glow Co was born.

Here at Messy Glow Co our messy artists are literally their very own blank canvas!

Messy Glow Co is a place where kids come to express themselves, create, and feel inspired. It’s a safe space where everyone can fully be themselves, create without judgement, have fun and enjoy getting wildly messy!

The muckier, the grubbier, the messier, the better!!
