Our Story

It all began with a break down and a dream…

Seven years ago, my life felt like it was falling apart. I had broken up from a marriage, left my job running a youth centre and dropped out of a Master’s degree in Primary Teaching. Nothing seemed to be working out, and I couldn’t understand why…

One night, I woke up in the middle of the night with a vision. I grabbed a notepad and wrote, “The Blank Canvas.” The idea was to run an art studio where people could express themselves freely. They would be like a blank canvas, inspired to create and express themselves without any labels, judgment, or assessment.

I held onto that dream for years, but it wasn’t until I had my daughter Olympia that I recognised the real need for a space for pure self expression. She loved to paint the walls, floor and couch and like most parents, I did not have the energy for that kind of mess! I realised parents needed a designated space for messiness to let their kids to just be kids, for parents to express themselves too, relax and not need to say ‘No!’ anymore.

In June 2024 Messy Glow Co was born.

Here at Messy Glow Co our messy artists are literally their very own blank canvas!

Messy Glow Co is a place where kids and adults come to express themselves freely, create, and feel inspired. It’s a safe space where everyone can fully be themselves, create without judgement or limitation. They can have fun creating magic and enjoy getting wildly messy whether that’s on the canvas or themselves!

We can’t wait to welcome you to our studio for some magical messy glow times! 🌟
